Sandos Agents is an online portal by Sandos Hotels & Resorts that has been specially designed for travel advisors to recognize the important role they play as business allies, offering resources and training for those who wish to increase the value of their businesses while earning rewards and benefits for themselves and their clients.
As part of their commitment to providing travel advisors with the best tools and resources, they have overhauled the user interface, making it more user-friendly and intuitive. With this new interface, travel advisors will unlock various features designed to maximize their benefits while selling Sandos properties.
Some of the key enhancements the new site will include are:
Enhanced User Interface: A more user-friendly and intuitive interface for effortless navigation.
New rewards currency: Say goodbye to Smart Points and hello to Sandos Coins, where 1 Sandos Coin equals 1 USD dollar, which can be used for bookings at an industry rate or redeemed for merchandise items at the resorts.
Expanded Functionality: Sandos Agents will introduce five new functionalities that will streamline user experience and elevate travel advisors’ sales game:
- The option to book commissionable hotel stays for their clients
- Easier process to register their bookings
- Live availability and booking tool for free stays and travel advisor rates
- The use of coins to pay for any room type and additional roommates
- The use of coins to pay for merchandise products at the resorts
For those travel advisors who have accrued Smart Points, they can rest assured that these will be smoothly transferred and converted into Sandos Coins. The introduction of the Sandos Agents Portal is a pivotal part of Sandos’ ongoing digital transformation phase.
The expected launch date has been postponed. In the meantime until further notice, travel advisors can still fully use our current sandossmartagent.com portal to register and redeem free nights as usual.

What is Sandos Agents?

When will sandosagents.com be launched?
The estimated launch date is January, 2024.
When will the current sandossmartagents.com page be deactivated?
The exact launch date and migration will be announced soon.
What will happen to my current sandossmartagent.com account?
Your registered contact information, pending booking registrations, and available free nights (now converted to Coins) will be migrated to the new portal, and your sandossmartagent.com account will be deactivated. You will be able to access your new account on sandosagents.com with the same user name on the launch date. When signing in, you will be prompted with an email and asked to follow instructions to update your password.
I have free nights available on sandossmartagents.com . What is the conversion to coins?
Each free night will be converted into 200 coins. Each coin equals 1 USD/EUR and can be used to pay for stays at a travel advisor rate. Travel advisor rates for 2024 currently start as low as 79 USD per person per night in double occupancy. The further in advance you book, the better rate you can get.
Which tier level will my new sandosagents.com account have?
As a thank you for your loyalty, all travel advisors who are already registered on sandossmartagents.com or are newly registered on sandosagents.com will be awarded gold-level status for the first year starting with the official launch date, after the first year regular tier room night production goals will apply.
What are the benefits of signing up with Sandos Agents?
As a registered member of Sandos Agents, you'll have full access to our extensive resource center, sales tools, and exclusive incentives and deals for travel advisors. In just a few clicks, you'll be able to see your bookings, download marketing materials, access training sessions, and much more.
Should I register as an agent or an agency?
Sandosagents.com allows travel advisors to affiliate with existing travel agencies.
Register as an agent if:
- You work at a travel agency or are affiliated with a host agency.
- If you are an independent agent or are not affiliated with a host agency.
Register as an agency if:
- If you are the travel agency admin and have travel advisors working for you (each travel advisor will register individually and can affiliate themselves with the agency).
I’m registering my travel agency. Which reward option should I choose?
Sandosagents.com offers 2 options for travel agencies to control rewards.
Option 1: Each agent affiliated is in control of the rewards earned (recommended)
- This option gives you (the agency admin) insight into your travel advisors’ sales performance.
- Each travel advisor will be in control of their rewards.
Option 2: Our agency shares rewards. The agency admin is in control of all rewards earned by affiliated agents.
- This option is best for agencies who pool their rewards.
- This option gives you (the agency admin) insight into your travel advisors’ sales performance.
- All coins earned by affiliated travel advisors will automatically be assigned to the agency account. These coins will NOT be available to the travel advisor who registered a booking.
- The agency admin can assign coins to affiliated travel advisors.
- The agency admin can unassign unused coins from affiliated travel advisors.
Is there any cost to sign up?
No, signing up on the Sandos Agents site is completely free. The only requirement is to be a licensed travel advisor.
How can I register the bookings I made?
To register your bookings, access the "Rewards" section on the main menu, select "Register Booking," and fill out all of the required fields on the form, then press the "add" button. You will be able to consult any submitted bookings on your Dashboard page. An approval must take place for the booking to be verified; in the meantime, the status will appear as "Waiting for approval." Once the verification process is complete, the status will shift to "approved."
If you have booked your clients' stay on this portal, you do not need to register the booking. It will appear automatically on your dashboard within 72 hours, and you receive coins once the booking has traveled.
How do I register a group booking?
When registering a group booking, you do not need to register each room one by one. On the "Register Bookings" page, check the "group booking" box so the system considers more than one booking made under the same booking number.
How do the tier levels work?
Blue Level:
Travel advisors & shared agency admins: All newly registered travel advisors and agencies start at level blue.
Gold Level:
Travel Advisor: Register more than 50 traveled room nights within the last 365 days to receive gold status.
Shared agency admins: Register more than 500 traveled room nights within the last 365 days to receive gold status.
Platinum Level:
Travel Advisor: Register more than 500 traveled room nights within the last 365 days to receive platinum status.
Shared agency admins: Register more than 5000 traveled room nights within the last 365 days to receive platinum status.
What can I do if I forget my password?
You can request a new password. To do this, you need to select the request new password option located within the Login section, type in the email address you originally used to create your Sandos Agents account, and lastly, click the "email new password" button. You will shortly receive an email with the steps to creating a new password.
When does my tier status expire?
Your validated room night production has accumulated within the last 365 days.
How far back can I register bookings?
You can register bookings for those who have traveled within the past 365 days.
Do my coins expire?
As long as you are actively registering your bookings, your coins will remain valid. However, if no new bookings are registered within 365 days, your coins will lose their validity.
How can I use my coins?
You have two options:
1. Book your stay at any resort and pay with coins.
2. Redeem coins for merchandise items when you are at a resort.
Each coin equals 1 USD/EUR and can be used to pay for stays at a travel advisor rate. Travel advisor rates for 2024 start as low as USD 79 per person per night in double occupancy. Rates may vary based on resort occupancy and travel dates. The further in advance you book the better rate you can secure.
Travel advisors are now able to book any available room type and room occupancy with coins.
To book a stay in exchange for your coins, access the “Rewards” section on the main menu, select “Book Your Stay”, and select your resort and travel dates on the booking widget. Your stay will be quoted at a travel advisor rate and you can use your coins as payment. You can also pay any difference (or the entire stay, in case you do not have any coins yet) with a credit card.
When you are at the resort you can purchase different reward items. You can see a list of available items in the “Redeem Coins” section and simply pick them up at the concierge desk.
What is the cancellation policy for bookings with coins?
For travel dates from 12/24/2023 to 01/01/2024
If you cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the arrival date: the hotel will not charge. If you cancel or modify after the established period, the hotel will charge for the entire stay. If you cancel on the same day of arrival or if you do not show up at the hotel, 100% of the reservation will be charged. Early departures have a 100% penalty.
For travel dates from 01/02/2024 to 12/23/2024
If you cancel or modify your booking up to 5 days before the arrival date: the hotel will not charge. If you cancel or modify after the established period, the hotel will charge two nights of the stay. If you cancel on the same day of arrival or if you do not show up at the hotel, 100% of the reservation will be charged. Early departures have a 100% penalty.
Can I book more than 1 room with my coins?
At this time, you can book 1 room at a time using your coins, which includes as many companions as the maximum availability of the room you are booking allows.
Are my coins transferable?
Coins cannot be transferred to friends, family, or other agents unless you are registered as an agency that shares coins with their travel advisor. In this case, the agency admin can transfer coins to affiliated travel advisors. Each travel advisor is able to book one room at a time for themselves.
Can I use my coins to book an upgraded room?
You are welcome to book the available room category and occupancy that best fits your needs.
